Google and HTML5 Microdata. A secret crystal ball which helps you to gain huge advantage over your competitors, before they figure it out.

How to increase ranking with one little effort? – My famous recipe that everyone begs for. It works then and it works now.

You have a Killer Press Release – Now What?

In the last newsletter, I wrote about press release and how they are an essential part of your online advertising mix. For those of you used Search3w, or those who did it themselves – Now What? Don’t stop the train!

In the next two weeks, these are the steps you should follow:

STAR IT
“If you find a story of interest in Google News, you can mark it by clicking on the star next to it.”
Search your news on http://news.google.com and click on the star to make it yellow. Ask your employers to do the same from home (not office).
See how: http://tinyurl.com/star-by-Search3w

BLOG IT
Post your Press Release as a blog post. Use the same images and hyper-links.
See how: http://tinyurl.com/prweb-by-Search3w

TWEET IT
I call it “Home Tweet Home”. Send a tweet to your followers with the headline and your PRweb link.
The new one is Google HTML5 Microdata. What is that geek jargon?

HTML5’s microdata tags will allow you to include metadata info that “Google may use to improve the presentation of your pages in Google search results.” Google said it, not me.

Search3w: Dear Mr. Panini,

I NEED MORE DETAILS ABOUT YOUR PROBLEM

    1. When it happened?
    2. What have you recently did or changed?
    3. Why do you think it banned?

You can find some answers for common ban issues here: http://blog.search3w.com/category/seo_questions_answers/

Panini: Dear Martin,

As requested you can find here more details related to our problem:

    1. When it happened? It happened in March 2007 when we dismissed the old website and launched the new one (as it appears now). Google ranked the domain www.***.it but not the main one www.***.com.

The .com domain was previously ranked in Google but then banned. In June 2007 we also presented the multilingual version of our website.

    2. What have you recently did or changed? We are trying to optimize contents and metatags (title, keyword, description) for search engine optimization but the problem of www.***.com still remains (banned).

    3. Why do you think it banned? We are very confused since the website is well structured and we keep updating contents.

Thanks again for your help

Best Regards

Panini

Search3w: The multilingual version is defiantly the reason. Are you sure all your sites are happily grasping in Google meadow?!

This is typical Google filter for months now, so they’re not banning related sites (checked by whois data similarity, too many cross links, etc),
what they do is, if you have A.com, B.com and C.com domains they will show only A.com were the other two B.com and C.com sites are “transferring their juice” (jargon, read nice explanation here: http://knol.google.com/k/randy-zlobec/what-is-link-juice)tp://knol.google.com/k/randy-zlobec/what-is-link-juice) to A.com.

Don’t be so sure your sites are banned, they just boosted another site of yours. This is exactly what BLOGS are for.

You also hit the “Google canonical filter” which even BMW has been banned in the past (here: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/ramping-up-on-international-webspam/), from the same reason: Doing wrong with their multiple sites targeting different languages.

Panini, use my analysis and learn how to optimize your sites for Multilingual & International SEO. Do it right and within 6 weeks you are on the road again.

If you have any questions regarding the subject, please contact us.

You will get companies that will guarantee you top rankings for $X amount of dollars, but from my business experience and business relations with Elchanan I can tell you that he is not one of them con-artist.”

We have rectified everything we can think of. I.e paid advertisements , too many keywords and links per page. We are stuck and want out.

A: Site Analysis
Your site is not penalized in any way. You have inner-links content issues that Google dislike and the proof is this: Go to search page number 34 to see this message:

In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 333 already displayed.

If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.

Ratio of 330 “good pages” (main Google database) out of 53,000 “potentially indexed” is bad one.

The Solution
This volume of web pages requires special techniques of content built, inner-links, webmaster XML feeds and on-page SEO. Call me for more details.

This is a questions people asking me almost every day:

I am checking these keywords in Google and I am not coming up on the first page except for {keyword} (I’m the last one). Also {keyword} someone that would type this in would be specifically looking for… Also these two keywords are linking to the landing page that… No one would type these key words in if they were trying to locate {my business}.

The questions here are: What 5-10 keywords are we going after? How many keywords will you guarantee me a first page showing in the natural listing? Common sense tells me that if a {my business}, they will type in {keyword 1} or {keyword 2} or they will type in the specific city within that {keyword}. The cities which are located within closest proximity to me and where I would like to get {my business} are: {list}

I need to have these questions answered ASAP! I do not expect the results to happen over night but I do need a clear explanation of exactly what we are doing!

This is my answer. Use this graph while reading the answer:

You are somewhere between a to b now. This means that we always try to work on the keyword combinations that fits your SEO Seniority if you want to call it this way. Please note that keyword combinations is NOT keywords you wish. As far as your SEO Seniority is running (with our work on your links, static pages and the content of your pages) as close you can rich your wish list keywords, and even this is not 100% guaranteed. Pay-per-click is the only guaranteed placement program available.

For instance one of Acroterion clients which they are far above point [e] has the 54 million keyword new york movers ($13 per click on AdWords). They’re #1 on Google for it. For long time, say between [p] to [q] the wished keyword movers in new york was not acquired for them. It took us few more months of work (and more $) to get them top spot.

To run full optimized “SEO Seniority” and acquire Google faithfulness, you need:

Google on Thursday unveiled its much anticipated online macro payment processing system designed to offer shoppers with a Google account a quick way to pay for things. Google checkout made for the United States only. Even merchants from the United States selling products or services internationally will be unable to switch because buyers must also be American this could make gaining market share a lot more difficult. To be fair though, Google must be working on the complexities that need to be addressed before a service like this can be rolled out internationally.

Watch a quick video tour of Google Checkout: a faster, safer and more convenient way to shop online.
“Web sites and merchants can integrate Google Checkout into their sites as an alternative payment processing method to existing checkout and credit card processing systems” said Salar Kamangar, vice president of product management at Google.

Consumers with a Google account can type their credit card and billing information into Google Checkout once and then pay for purchases thereafter with practically one click on any Web site that features the system, Kamangar said. As things now stand, he said, “If I buy five things from five different merchants I have to fill out five different forms. This process can take three, four, five minutes” for each form. Google Checkout is meant to change that.

Once they’ve purchased something through Google Checkout, consumers can track their orders through the system, which will be live starting Thursday at Checkout.google.com.

Merchants using the system will be charged a processing fee of 20 cents per transaction, plus 2 percent of the relevant purchase price. Users of the Citibank Checkout option will receive $5 or 1,000 points for signing up. Customers who pay for search-related keyword ads through Google AdWords will be able to process, free of charge, transactions that add up to 10 times the dollar amount of their AdWords spending, Kamangar said. Beyond that, they pay the 20 cents plus 2.2 percent. Kamangar said the regular transaction fees are less than those charged by credit card companies, which can be about 1 percent higher.

Conclusion

Why to wait a second? Many New Google services blocked due to over accounts which they can’t handle. Grab your Google Checkout Account today!

Before you start, you’ll need

The federal tax ID number (or a credit card and an authorized Social Security number) for your business.

A text-only version of your return, cancellation, and shipping policies.

A shopping cart on your business website to accept online orders (unless you’re integrating via Buy Now buttons).
